A-1014 SENIOR CHEMIST – Perform method development, data analysis and reporting in support of Clean Label development programs and focus on understanding compositions of fruits and vegetables. Develop and validate new analytical methods including anion exchange chromatography, size exclusion chromatography, liquid chromatography, MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopy, rheology, and other techniques for plant-based materials. A-1013 REGULATORY SPECIALIST – Support efforts to maintain regulatory compliance for matters pertaining to the safety, labeling, marketing, and claims for r new sweeteners, ingredient specialties, and industrial, personal and home care products. interpret regulations and implement sound guidance and company policy to comply with applicable regulations in the US with some exposure to international regulations. Support regulatory approval programs to obtain approvals (GRAS, food additive petition, dietary fiber, food contact notifications, etc.) for new ingredients, or approval for expanded use of existing ingredients. conducting regulatory assessments on new ingredients and claims. Participate on stage gate project teams, providing advice and guidance on regulatory compliance or approval matters. Administer compliance requirements of the EPA Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), initiating Pre-Market Notifications, and assignment of Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) codes to new products. Assure new GHS compliant safety data sheets and labels are prepared and maintained in HAZOX. Assure new raw materials are reviewed and approved and advise on issues including package labeling and common name, product safety and risk assessment analysis, product and package label claims and claim support. A-1012 FOOD SCIENTIST- PLANT PROTEIN APPLICATIONS – Lead and support multiple New Product Development and Applied Research Projects related to development of pulse based ingredients including flours and proteins. Design and conduct experiments, collaborate with external partners and internal teams to execute projects, seek and pursue opportunities for IP, and regularly update project status to key stakeholders and external partners. Will also manage a Food Technologist and be responsible for developing technical materials, market/customer prototypes and formulations, and customer documentation, along with supporting specific customer projects. A-991 MICROBIOLOGY LAB TECHNICIAN: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Biology/Microbiology or related sciences.  Must be able to work the late shift (4:00 PM to close) and one weekend day and flexible or long hours due to special projects.  Experience with aseptic technique, food microbiology, or other culture-based microbiology lab experience is desirable. A-989 LAB DIRECTOR: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the Sciences, Master’s degree preferred.  A-980 PART-TIME FOOD SAFETY TRAINER & AUDITOR: Rutgers Food Innovation Center south (RFICs) has a part time position available. Candidate must deliver Food Safety classes at Rutgers or client locations (NJ/NY/PA region); conduct Food Safety Assessments at food facilities / write recommendations for corrective actions; assist clients to create / update HACCP or Food Safety plans and preventive controls; advise clients regarding recent regulatory issues or outbreaks.  Additionally, candidate would serve as advocate for the RFICs at networking and promotional events. He/She is entitled to attend events of the NJ Food Processors Association and events / training classes at the RFICs. Time: Maximum 19 hours weekly, averaged over quarter.
