What’s all the buzz about Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design? This half-day workshop will introduce you to Design Thinking and why it’s one of the best tools for all stages of product development. Whether your company makes consumer products, ingredients, packaging, or machinery – this workshop will provide basic concepts in Design Thinking and then bring those concepts to life with small group exercises.
Susan Mayer, Innovation Advisor (Food and Ag Lead) – RTI
Susan Mayer works with a wide range of food companies, utilizing design thinking to solve innovation challenges from technology insights to manufacturing hurdles. Prior to her time with RTI Innovation Advisors, Sue managed product development, sensory evaluation, and quality system groups for several food companies. Sue is a Certified Food Scientist, the past-chair of the Central NJ Section, and is an adjunct professor at Rowan University teaching Entrepreneurship.
Jim Redden, Innovation Advisor – RTI
Jim Redden has been helping companies, governments, and universities deploy design thinking to improve their innovation outcomes for the last five years. Jim also specializes in strategic foresight and the application of design thinking tools for digital transformation. Prior to his time with RTI Innovation Advisors, Jim worked as a chemical engineer for ExxonMobil and as a high school physics and biology teacher.
